Collets

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Collets are available in a variety of standard sizes and shapes for the headstocks and attachments.  Our collets are manufactured from a proprietary steel developed for its high harness and extreme wear resistance.  They are available in fractional, decimal and metric sizes. Standard stock includes round, hexagonal and square shapes.  Keyways are available upon request.

QUALITY
KEB Collets are precisely ground to tolerance of .0005 or better Total Indicator Rating (TIR) and hardened to provide maximum wear and resistance.  Each Collet is specifically sprung for the ground diameter to hold your stock concentrically.

SERRATED
Collets bores 1/2" and over are serrated to provide greater gripping power over your stock. Serrations are available on bores under 1/2", starting around 1/4" as non standard product.

SMOOTH BORE
Standard Collets bores under 1/2" are smooth.

PICK-OFF COLLETS
When ordering Pick-Off Collets, please specify smooth bore to prevent damaging any finished characteristics of your part.  Please refer to the Customs tab for more information about custom Pick-Off Collets.

EXTENDED NOSES
Please specify EN when ordering Extended Nose Collets.  Refer to the Customs tab for more information on Extended Noses.

EMERGENCIES
Emergency Collets are available for use until a hardened Collet is available.  Please refer to the Emergencies tab for more information.

Hexagonal Collets are available in various stock ranges as listed.
